What I’m using now…Really

Uncategorized

I hear this all the time…

“I know what you sell at the salon, but what do you use for real?”

I decided to be brave and show you guys the ugly truth that lurks in my shower.

The Details Pic 1:

Oribé Gold Lust Repair & Restore Shampoo & Conditioner– I use this nutrient heavy “Fountain of Youth for Hair” Duo once a week or so.  It’s a bit heavy for daily use on my fine hair.  It works, and we do sell it, and all other Oribé products at 8 the Salon.  Not in charlotte? visit  www.oribe.com.

Framesi Violights Shampoo- A toning shampoo for blondes.  When I get a little yellow or brassy, I use this shampoo.  Important note:  I dilute it half and half with a regular shampoo!!!  You could end up looking like Grandma Blue Hair otherwise.  I only use this once in a blue moon.  I get it at SalonCentric beauty supply.  Not sure where a civilian could find it… probably Amazon.

Oribé Conditioner for Brilliance & Shine- A great everyday conditioner for all hair types.  Gives super shine to blondes and brunettes.  If you’re super fine, may be a bit heavier.

Oribé Shampoo for Beautiful Color-  Exactly what it sounds like, shampoo for color treated hair, good for all textures, preserves color.  simple.

L’Occitane Amande Cleansing & Softening Shower Oil- I use this when my skin is extra dry and needs some TLC.  It’s a low lather, high moisture shower oil.  Smells divine and makes your skin super soft.

The Details Pic 2-

Target up&up Women’s Shave Gel-  Ghetto, cheap, easy.  Says it’s for sensitive skin, which probably means nothing.  If anyone has a fabulous suggestion for shaving legs, please comment below!!!

Bed Head epic volume conditioner- An old favorite for getting big hair.  Super detangling, light enough for my fine hair and smells great.  I’ve been using this for many years!!!

Trader Joe’s face wash with tea tree oil- Got this recently, so far I like it enough.  Burns the old eyeballs a bit when I use the Clarisonic, so be careful.  Had some break outs, so I thought I’d try it as tea tree oil is antibacterial.  Jury is still out on this one…

Oribé Conditioner for Beautiful Color- Exactly what it sounds like.  A little on the lighter side, not as great at detangling as the Brilliance & Shine.  A great every day conditioner, not heavy at all.

The Details Pic 3-

Casto+Downs Blemish Bar-  Oh, that big black brick isn’t charcoal?  Nope, it’s my blemish bar soap.  It’s a keeper and I highly recommend it.  www.castodowns.com is where you find it.  And because I like to hook a sister up, use coupon code 0825bd10 for a sweet 25% off!

Casto+Downs Peppermint & Lavender Soap- An everyday body soap, smells fantastic and doesn’t strip my skin and make it dry.

Revision Finishing Touch- Hiding under the black brick, I use this once a week as an exfoliator with my Clarisonic Face brush.  Great for pre spray tanning.

Equate Sensitive Skin Body Wash- Cheap and easy.  Sometimes you need a deep clean, this is great for that.

Bed Head epic volume shampoo-  An old favorite.  I use this when I’m going somewhere and need some serious volume.

L’Oreal Professionel Vitamino Color Shampoo- A great everyday shampoo to add to the mix.  A girl needs options!

Clarisonic Face brush- I use it daily to remove grime.

Venus Razor- An oldie but a goodie.  Probably should try a new kind, but why…really.

Casto+Downs Body Polish-  Been touting this stuff for weeks now.  Makes  my skin feel super soft and moisturized.  Great for pre spray tanning also.  Obsessed!

So, there you have it.  What I use, “for real”!  Soap scum and all, I have quite the selection of products.  Evidently, I need lots of options for hair products, depending on my mood.  I used to have more products in my shower, in our old place, if you can believe that.  Product junkie for life!  Comment below with any questions or suggestions!
