When you’re a working woman and especially a working mom, you appreciate any business that endeavors to make your life easier. I’m a beauty junkie. No surprise there. I love trying products and services. Sometimes, its just impossible to get an appointment after hours or on weekends. I don’t necessarily work a traditional 9-5 schedule, but I still find it hard to make time to get errands run, and personal appointments scheduled. Most businesses are open Monday through Friday 9-6, which leaves little to no window to shop there or use their services. Ain’t nobody got time for that.
Enter Synnova Health & Wellness. Nicole Scaccia has been a salon client of mine for years and years. We have great conversations while she is in the chair getting her color and cuts. When she mentioned that she was working on a new business, I was all ears.
A little background information on Nicole.
Nicole Scaccia, APRN-BC
Nicole is a board-certified Nurse Practitioner with the American Nurse Credentialing Center . She has been practicing since receiving her Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2005. Nicole created Synnova Health and Wellness Associates after working for Emergency Medicine Physicians and ApolloMD. Nicole first realized she loved the aesthetic concepts of facial and cosmetic wound repair in the emergency room and created Synnova to combine her love of design, beauty and fashion with her medical background. Both EMP and ApolloMD companies are national companies who staff several of the local emergency departments. Nicole also has experience in Urgent Care and Occupational Medicine. Nicole is licensed in both North and South Carolina and is a Certified Medical Examiner for the Department of Transportation.
In her free time Nicole enjoys yoga, traveling and spending time with family and friends. She has been active in multiple animal rescues and has fostered several dogs. She currently has three rescues dogs of her own – two Chihuahuas, Vinny and Vito, and Rocco, a Miniature Pinscher and Chihuahua mix.
I love that she combined her love of medicine and passion for beauty to create this unique business model.
I’m a big believer in doing things that make you feel better. If a little Botox makes you feel softer and younger, go for it! Nobody wants Resting Bitch Face, right?! We all know I’m not scared of a little shot to keep the “angry 11’s” away!
I had a B12 shot from Nicole recently. I have been suffering from exhaustion and all the side effects of toddler mom-itis. B12 shots help with fatigue, and have various other medical benefits. I have had more energy for sure. The shot itself didn’t hurt or burn either.
Until next post, keep it beautiful, Mommas!
Amanda
