IMG_0026Up next on my tour of MLM beauty companies is Younique.  I’d definitely heard of Younique before but never really investigated it.  On a leisurely Facebook scroll, I saw that my friend Michelle Tyner had started selling it.  She was posting pictures of her gorgeous self (I mean, she IS a real life model) wearing various Younique cosmetic products.  I was intrigued.

Michelle Tyner, yep, she’s gorgeous.

Derek Maxfield and Melanie Huscroft, a brother-and-sister team, founded Younique in September 2012 with a mission to uplift, empower, and validate women across the globe. Derek and Melanie firmly believe that all women should feel valued, smart, and empowered through opportunities of personal growth and financial reward! Younique’s cosmetics development processes utilize scientific research to ensure that our products contain high quality ingredients that enrich and nourish the skin. Our goal is to provide healthy, clean, and pure cosmetics.
Before I joined Younique as a Presenter I already knew I wanted to be a part of an MLM/Direct Sales company. As a new mother, the idea of being able to make money from home at my leisure was incredibly appealing. I researched multiple MLM/DS companies, tried products from each company and ended up falling in love with Younique – their makeup, as well as their skincare. I had been using the products for a couple of months before I took the plunge. I found that I was getting compliments left and right and recommending the products to my friends so it only seemed natural to make it official. I have loved every part of being a member of this incredible company. Not only have I been able to bring in extra income for my family, but I have also met some amazing people and created lasting friendships and I am grateful for it all!

Michelle sent me 3 products to try.  Moodstruck Epic Mascara, Moodstruck Esteem Lash Serum, and the famous 3D Fiber Lashes mascara system.  You can a take look at her website for more details at

I tried the Lash Serum first.  It looks much like a tube of mascara, but with a purple top.  It applies with a mascara wand, unlike many other lash serums, which apply with a liner brush.  The directions tell you to use the serum twice a day.  I used the Lash Serum for several weeks.  I’ll be totally honest, I didn’t always remember to use it twice a day.

IMG_0191THE VERDICT:  Mostly my fault, but I likely won’t continue this one.

It does work.  I’ve noticed some length on my lashes since using this.

The packaging is easy to work with.

I don’t like the applicator brush.  I ended up using disposable eyeliner brushes to apply it.

It stays wet a bit longer than I’d like for it to.

It’s really hard for me to remember this step in my routine.

Next up, the Moodstruck Epic Mascara.  Mascara, oh how I love mascara… but…

First time using the Moodstruck Epic Mascara.

I am a self professed mascara SNOB.  Mascara is one of my favorite cosmetic products.  I’ve tried nearly every kind out there and I’m VERY particular about it.  It took years to find one I love so I’m a big sceptic of trying something new.  I tried it on a weekend so I could really take time with it.

IMG_0192VERDICT: OMG, IT’S AMAZING!!!!!  Will definitely buy again.

It goes on easily, no clumps.

It makes my lashes super thick and long.

It may be better than my beloved YSL, and that’s saying something.

The brush applicator is great.

I’ll have to order it when I’m low, instead of running to the Mall.

Can’t think of another thing, because I am hooked!!!

Last but not least, the product that Younique is probably most well known for.  3D Fiber Lashes!  I decided to do a video review of the Moodstruck 3D Fiber Lashes system.  Forgive my inexperience, as this is my first ever video review of anything.  I am clearly an amateur and I promise I will get better at it.  I wanted to show you how long it took to apply and give feedback in the moment.

THE VERDICT:  It’s really cool!  I will definitely use it!

Fairly quick application.

Easy to follow instructions.

Makes maximum impact lashes.

Looks like false eyelashes, in the best way.

Be careful not to get fibers in your eye.

Takes a few coats to get the best results.

So, if you’re intrigued by these awesome products, like I was, its super easy to order.  You can take a look at Michelle’s  website for more details at (OMY are her adorable baby boys initials, cute, huh?)

I’m pretty happy overall with this product and company.  If you’re invited to join in on Younique, it’s a lot of fun and a great product.

  1. I love the lash serum I can see a difference in just a few weeks of using it, and as for the Epic mascara I am totally in love with it. !! It’s the only mascara I will buy from now on and I get so many compliments.

    1. This post is nearly a year old. I haven’t ordered in a couple of months so I’m not sure if she is or not.
