Yet another side effect of being pregnant, is that you can’t use Latisse to juice up your eyelashes. I have amazing results on Latisse, to the point where people think my lashes are fake. Since I’ve been pregnant, my lashes have gone from POW to PUNY!
The mascara routine I have to use now is extensive and I still can’t achieve the same results as I had before.
Step 1: Curl my lashes with a Shu Uemura Eyelash Curler.
Step 2: Brush on a coat of MAC Prep + Prime Lash Primer
Step 3: Swipe Blinc Kiss Me Mascara in Black on the LOWER LASHES ONLY (Doesn’t run or smudge).
Step 4: Apply 2 coats of YSL Volume Effect Faux Cils mascara in Black on TOP LASHES.
Looks great, but time consuming and still not as fabulous as my Latisse lashes….
Which leads me to the solution….
LASH EXTENSIONS!!!!
I’ve had lash extensions a few times but the last time I had them was many years ago. They used to be kind of hard and uncomfortable. They have come a LONG way! I sought out the expertise of the Brow & Lash Queen, Carla Jones, at Celebrity Brows & Lashes in Charlotte, NC. She made me feel super sassy by applying a full set of gorgeous long luscious lashes. I can’t even feel them, they are completely natural. Needless to say, I LOVE THEM!!!!
The service took a little over an hour. I got to lie down on a table with my eyes closed and just relax. I was definitely dozing off here and there. There was zero discomfort or eye burning. Carla has it down to a science and she does a fantastic job!
Eyelash Extensions do require some maintenance. You have to keep them dry for 48 hours after you get them done. You have to use an oil-free makeup remover and face wash. No mascara is necessary. You get fill ins every 3-4 weeks. Prices vary for a Fresh Set and for Fill ins. If you’re in Charlotte, call Carla at Celebrity Brows & Lashes at 704-644-1088 to get current pricing.
I see this saving me lots of time getting ready in the morning, hallelujah! If you’re looking for a way to feel pretty and save time, get some lash extensions!
